How is the price different for professionals?
Wend Wedding is $150 per couple, with shipping, the starter kit, and 12 stands; $2.50 a stand above that, by table count when you book. Wend Hosted is $299 on the same terms. Couples pay from $299 and from $499. A booking at the planner price carries no referral commission; that is the trade price.
What do I earn if I refer instead?
25% of what your couples book through your link: about $75 on a $299 booking. Payouts are monthly. Details are on the Founding Partner page.
Is there anything to run on the day?
Very little, and one part of it matters. Put the stands on the tables and the keepsake frame and the 8 x 10 sign at the guest book table. Then make one short, warm announcement once everyone is seated, or hand the announcement card to the DJ or the best man. Few guests stop at a sign on their own. More record when someone asks them.
Who should make the announcement?
Someone the guests enjoy hearing from. That may well be you. At a wedding this October the planner made it herself, in her own words, and she told us that is when the messages came in. The card has the words, and it says to make them your own.
How many guests will record?
We can't promise a number, and we would not trust anyone who did. A wedding has gone well when the people the couple most wanted to hear from are in it. That starts before the day, with the couple asking them, and it is why booking early helps.
How do the tablet stations work for a planner?
With Wend Hosted, three tablet stations are rented for the wedding and arrive in the box two weeks before, charged and set up. Before the day the couple uses them for conversations with the people closest to them. On the day they start where people wait, and then named people carry them from guest to guest. Afterward they go back to us in a prepaid box within five business days. A station that does not come back is charged at its replacement cost.
When does it ship?
The starter kit ships within two business days of booking. The box for the day ships two weeks before the wedding. For a date only a few weeks away, Wend Wedding ships complete within two business days. Book each couple when they sign and it is handled.
What if the table count changes?
Tell us roughly when you book. About five weeks before the wedding we check with you and print for the final count. If it moves by a few tables, there is nothing more to pay.
What if the wedding moves or is cancelled?
Moving the date costs nothing. Reply to your confirmation any time before the kit is printed. With Wend Hosted, the new date needs a set of stations to be open. If you cancel within 14 days of booking, you get a full refund. After that, and until the kit is printed, we refund all but $49, which covers the couple's page and anything already sent. Once the kit is printed it has been made for that couple, and it cannot be refunded.
Can my business line say something specific?
Yes. "Presented by [Business Name]" is the standard format, and we can adjust the wording to fit your brand. You type it at checkout.
What happens after the wedding?
Guests who took a card home can still add theirs. The couple records thank-yous on the included stickers, adds photos, and keeps building their Our Story book on the back of the keepsake frame. About thirty days after the wedding they receive the one video of everything collected. Your business is on every sign they keep.
We already work with a videographer. Is this the same thing?
No, and they go well together. The videographer films the day: the ceremony, the speeches, the first dance. Wend keeps the people: what the couple's family and friends, and the ones who could not come, wanted to say to them.
